Rodger Nogaki (a Sansei – 2nd Generation American born of Japanese descent) is the first son of Takeo Nogaki (a Nisei – 1st Generation American born son of Japanese descent), grandson of Kenjiro Nogaki (an Issei – 1st Japanese Generation to come to America). Rodger is the oldest surviving direct descendent of Kenjiro Nogaki (b. 1867 in Miyada, Aichi-Ken, Japan – d. 1936 – Seattle, WA).

About the Book

The reason for writing this book is to tell future generations about their family experiences after being detained “in an American Concentration Camp – Minidoka” during World War II, and how they survived.
Rodger worked for 50 years in the field of risk management, specializing in Safety, Health, and Security Services. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Over the years, he also served in his community volunteer fire service, Super Fund Site oversite committee, Sheriffs’ Volunteers, and food banks. He enjoys fishing, hunting, judo, cooking, and barbequing for friends and family.
